Alleyway StreetART Redux

Certainly an enjoyable evening last night at the the Second Saturday Art Gallery Night.  Our fave, as always was the Avenue 50 Studio exhibits, can’t go wrong with wine and clementines.   We dug the style of Googie Style by Armando Arreola.  He scored our Pick of the Night with the work below.  It was dope, some sort of crushed glass/rock going on, giving it some glisten and texture.

Googie Style...What's a Googie?

Googie Style…What’s a Googie?

We here at Gringos were quite pleased with the response we’ve been getting on our street ART riffs.  Some cool as hell hipster in London wrote us, (insert British accent) “More Please, Sir”.   So here’s some more to go with your bangers and mash bro.

Just so happens that while stumbling home from Kenzie S.’s this morgie I came across a street Artist working on a mural in  ‘Alleyway Gallery’ across from Highland Theater .  With ladder and spray paint in tow, he was going to town on those blue meanies.

Finishing Touches

See that Pig in the corner, he was just at outline yesterday.

Face details added, so dope.

Face details added, so dope.

This Pig was just a shadow of itself yesterday.

This Pig was just a shadow of itself yesterday.

.

Here’s a glance from yesterday…

That pig was just a shadow of itself.

That pig was just a shadow of itself.

…and a glance from today.

Next phase coming???

Next phase coming???

How rad is that?  Thank you HP street artists for making this ‘hood so ALIVE!
